Q - Why does my Rhino Post Driver NOT have a Honda GX35 engine?
On March 20, we were informed by our Honda distributor that all remaining inventory of the GX35 engine has been depleted. Honda is reclassifying this engine. The next production run is expected no earlier than June 2025. Depending on when your Rhino Post Driver was in the production cycle, will determine if your model has a GX35 engine.
Q - What is Rhino doing to respond?
We are implementing a multi-sourcing strategy to avoid future disruptions and continue delivering reliable, high-performance post drivers.
Starting immediately:
- Ranch Pro and Fence Pro models will ship with the Minuteman Post Driver Engine.
- Multi Pro and Multi Pro XA models can be ordered with:
- The Minuteman Engine, OR
- The Honda GX50 Engine, while supplies last.
Q - Is the Minuteman Post Driver Engine as good as the Honda GX35?
Yes. The Minuteman Engine, developed by Rhino in 2020, delivers equal power and performance to the GX35. It has been proven in the field over 5+ years and is backed by:
- A 1-year warranty
- Parts inventory stocked in Kewanee, IL
- Factory-direct service support
Hundreds of Minuteman-equipped units are already in operation across the U.S.
Q - What is the difference between the Honda GX50 and the Honda GX35?
The GX50 has been tuned so that our Multi-Pro, Multi-Pro Tent Stake, Multi-Pro XA Channel Post, and Multi-Pro XA Models operate optimally, providing the same quality and performance you expect from Rhino Post Drivers.
